We are going to WDW in June and I am getting ready to book our trip. Would you consider 8 months in advance too early, too late, or about right?

better to be too early, than too late.
I've been pretty lucky, sometimes we book just 2-3 mths out. Soon as we get back from this trip, we are booking for my 30th bday in aug 2005....;)

11months - we're DVCers and the earliest we can book a trip "home" is at the 11month window

We book early. We booked in May 04 for our upcoming Dec trip. I also booked our Mar 05 and Dec 05 trips 3 months ago.

It's never too early. Usually we start to plan our next trip when we get back from our last trip. Then we book it about a month later, so I would say 11 months for us.

I am also going in June on the 18th and I have already booked my
reservations and my PS's. Can't wait .........I haven't been since 1980. I booked a package that way I will make payments each month at least I'll have that out of the way.

what package do you have that you were able to book your PSs?

Usually around 4-6 months out. We generally go during "slow" season.

If you know what you want now, I'd go ahead and book. You can always change or cancel.

I booked the PS's separately.........when I got my confirmation in the mail I call WDW resort number and they connected me the correct individuals..........My PS's is for HOOPEDEEDOO!!!!!!!!!!!
and the Spirit of Aloha at the Poly

Book now. In late August/early Sept. I booked for May 27-June 5th, and at that, I couldn't get the AAA rate for May 27th (I got the other nights.)

I have also already booked for June '05 and say don't wait any longer and book now. I made reservations for our stay at Shades of Green in August and just this monday finalized the reservation for AKL (we are splitting between SOG & AKL). Although, I had choices when reserving AKL, I had my TA and DU checking out other hotels and I got the sense that many hotel rooms were already reserved. My TA didn't come out and say that, but by all my questions, that was it seemed like. Book now and like Kimberle said you can always change or cancel it. Just be sure you know your cancellation policy. Like Cbusby, we also already have our HDDR resevations as well for June '05.

I'm going in June 05 also and I booked last weekend. I want to have my room paid for by the time I get there so I have a payment plan set up for myself to have it paid off by April.

Hey, I've already made our room reservations for Dec 2005! So no, I don't think 8 months is too early!:hyper:

I booked in August for May/June '05 so I could get AAA rates - just in case I can't get a good code discount closer to time.

The first thing I always do is book our airfare. If the trip is just for DH and me, we use free Skymiles and book the earliest possible at 331 days. DH will only fly direct nonstop flights, so it's important for us to have our flights locked in first. We usually go for about 2 weeks and like to switch resorts three times - two offsite and one onsite. I start to research resorts as soon as we have the flights, and when I find a great rate, I call to reserve a room. I also book the rental car right away and then constantly look for better deals. Researching and planning WDW trips is half the fun for me! :)

we plan as early as possible, last vacation was booked a year in advance. we do this because we come to WDW at peak times, july, but also because my DW doesnt fly and the earlier you book amtrak the sleeper cars are cheaper.

Well we made the reservation today! I guess it is better to book early rather than risk not getting into our preferred resort.

Pop Century here we come!

I usually book whenever I come across a low airfare. Sometimes it's a year in advance! Then I get my room, then I check for AP or discount codes to apply to the ressie.
