I was just wondering how far in advance can you book a Disney resort? If codes come out in the meantime, are they automatically applied to your reservation? Also, I think I have read somewhere here about people calling the resort to apply a certain $ amount to their bill each month before they go and so when they arrive their stay is already paid for. How does that work wouldn't it just go on your cc bill statement? Sorry about the stupid ?'s but we had a "budget" visit in October and the next time we go I want to go in "style"!

book anytime for dates - isn't it 2010? or something crazy like that?

Disney Cruise Line has dates out until early 2007...so feel free to call and book resorts.

I wouldn't think that codes would be applied automatically..codes are for a specific number of rooms....but I'm not an expert call WDW and see, then let us know:)

As far as pre-paying, I'd stash my cash in my own account, then just before final pymts are due, I pay -and receive -a credit on my credit card. Pay off the room, and you're done:) You keep any interest, get any points, and if something drastic comes up, you don't have to worry about getting a refund from WDW.

HTH!!

You can book a Disney resort room up to 50 years in advance, but you will pay the price of the room at those prices not the current price.

You can reserve a room and when you find a code for that time call and have it applied to your current ressie. I did that for this year's vacation. I kept checking Mousesavers and the morning that I saw there was a code out for my time, I called CRO and had no problem having it applied to my existing ressie.

I know you can apply payments whenever you wish with a credit card by calling CRO. I paid mine off in full and then just paid the credit card bill when it came.

We just recently found out that you can only book a room at WDW 500 days out! Apparently when they changed everything for the new MYW plan, they changed this too. Oh well, now we have a countdown until we can book for December 2006!

I've seen some posts with references to "codes". What does that mean? How do they work etc...?

Thanks

Codes are discount codes for WDW room only ressies or vacation (room plus UPH passes) packages. The following link to the mousesavers site pretty much tells you everything you need to know. Many of us who are going to WDW in the next couple of weeks were able to take advantage of a room-only code (BDP) that was available to the general public or a Canadian-at-par vacation code that was available to Canadian residents paying by Visa. You had to book for those offers by the first week in December and it only applied for visits that began no later than mid-April. There are also annual passholder codes that are available and, to the extent the room allocation for that discount code at the particular resort has not been taken up or there have been cancellations, you can still get them now for stays into mid-April. (Only one person in the room needs an AP to take advantage of the discount code.)

The following is a link to a thread started by people who have been pining for the next round of discount codes. You should note that one of the rumours that is flying around is that, with the introduction of the new MYW ticketing and vacation package structure, there may not be discount codes for a while.
