I usually book 10-11 months out for my annual two-week trip.

However, if I were ever to want longer than two weeks, I would probably book farther out.

we just booked for Jan 2008 and couldn't get the week we wanted, called back a weeklater and a nice CM was able to "clear out a few things" whatever that means, and we have a week close to that week (beginning on Thursday). Hope that helps!
