how far in advance can they change your flight?

How close to your flight date can they change the time of your flight?? Dh wants to get a afternoon flight so he doesn't have to get out of work early I wouldn't mind leaving earlier!! But I want to go w/ a carrier that doesn't change flight times THAT much.

Flight times can change any time. If it is more than a month away, it is typically a schedule change. If it the day before or something like that, it is most likely an equipment change. Either way, you never know if it is going to happen.

I have a flight to Reno in 3.5 weeks. The exact flight has been cancelled the morning of the flight. I check daily. If it is cancelled that morning, I want to be prepared with an alternative plan.

If you can fly Southwest, they seem to be the ones that change schedules the least. Airtran has changed my flights the most. American and United have both made some small changes, but just the one time....

Yes, flight times can change at ANY time!

We were flying to TN at about 8:30am if I remember correctly. We got a phone call at about 4:00am the morning of the flight telling us they had changed the flight time to like 7:00am!! Luckily we only live about 20 minutes from the airport and were able to make the much earlier flight.
