We are going to Disney October 2008.
How far in advance can I book tickets?
Is it better to book your tickets: through Disney, a travel agent or purchase each thing seperately?

You could actually purchase your park tickets now...just make sure you pick the non-expiring option. That would offset any price increase that takes place between now and then. I do this...but only because we stay offsite and don't do a package.

But...if you are planning on doing a Disney package and staying onsite that includes tickets and/or dining, you will probably need to wait. I think...may be wrong....that you can book your room way in advance to "hold" the spot, but you won't actually know the price until they release those dates which I think would probably be around the end of next year.

Hope this helps you.

I've been buying our park tickets, one every other month, over the last year. Two were bought before the price increase (last August, I think). I bought the expiring kind. I asked Disney, at some point when I was on the phone with them for something else, if they would still be okay. They told me as long as they are unused park tickets, they'll work! phew! It worked out well, I haven't felt like the tickets have had to be part of our budget.

I love the idea of buying your tickets here and there...Where do you buy them from? Can you buy Park Hopper tickets one a time here and there?

But if you do this can you get the meal plans and stuff later on? Decisions, decisions...
