How far in advance can I make muffins and scones

I'd like them for tomorrow morning and I just want to know if it makes a difference if I make them this morning or tonight. TIA

I haven't made scones, so I can't answer that one. But muffins will be fine the next morning. I usually make enough for several days. I should say, though, that the recipes I use make moist muffins. If they're dry to start with, you might not enjoy them as much if you make them ahead.
