How far have you pulled your camper's to visit ft. wilderness

35 front door to check-in at the Fort. Thank God, don't think DH could drive it much further! LOL :cool1:

1250 miles one way! February will be our first trip to FW, so I sure hope it's worth the drive!

Almost 2000 miles one way. This Christmas will the 5th time and its always worth it. Quickest drive with trailer was two and a half days, left home friday after school got in Sunday evening at 7:30.

According to google earth 2050km one way From Oakville Ontario Canada to the Fort. We were pulling a popup. Did it in about 23 hrs down and 25 hrs back. We took a longer route back.

1200 miles, we have done it many times, easy for me as my husband does all of the driving, we have a class C and they kids watch movies all the way down. We go for 2 weeks and it is well worth it.

2600 miles one way. It took us 6 days with stopping every night. We have done it twice before and will be doing it again next May. We totally loved pulling our trailer across country that's why we're doing it again. Can't wait!

About 90 miles from home to the gate!!!!

When we picked up our trailer at Dusty's in Bartow, we went straight to FW!!!I mean how could we just take it home, when we were alreay that close :thumbsup2

Well in Dec 07 we will be pulling my wifes trailer 2047 Kilometers to go to FW.

It is around 1500 miles one way.

Now as a side question what was your longest day on the road.

Mine was 19 hours. Left a little north of Richmond VA at 4:00am and arrived at FW at 11:00pm We did get stuck for 1-1/2 hours on I-4 (40 miles from Orlando) because of an accident. Had to be turned around and went down I-95 to the b-line.

Long Day

Google maps says it is 1153 miles from our house to Lake Buena Vista, Fl.

I think our longest day on the road was our last trip home. We left Disney around 7 in the morning on Saturday Oct 19th. We were making pretty good time so we planned on stopping at a truck stop in Virginia to get fuel and spend the night. Our kid were upset about the sniper so we thougth we would stop just before where he had been shooting. We were within 4 miles of the truck stop and getting low on fuel when we got stopped on I95. The Beltway Sniper had shot someone at the Ponderosa in Ashland, Virginia at 8:00 that night and they closed the interstate completely down. We sat there for a couple of hours. It was an eerie feeling not knowing if he was next to you or not! When we finally made it to the truck stop we RAN not walked inside.

:tink:

About 5 movies on the portable DVD player, a couple naps and some games on the gameboy, my daughter says. I'd say 1,000 miles.

so far gone about 130 miles to Belmont, NH :) . But in February '07 we are heading to Sebatian Inlet and then on to Fort Wilderness..Can't wait!! :bounce: :bounce:

407 miles from 25 south of Atlanta. Takes about 6-1/2 hours with one "rest"/fuel/meal stop in Valdosta. Our next trip with the Airstream is for MNSSHP third week end in October.

:thumbsup2 1500 Miles from just outside Lincoln, Ne in 2004. Going again in 2009 with DS and family. Both of us are pulling campers to Fort.

How long did it take you? I live not to far from Lincoln and am wondering...

800 mi.
Last year we blew out a tire on the pop-up twice. It was still worth it. I wouldn't go any other way!

1,250 each way with a mini-van and pop-up ... usually once per year for a stay of 2 weeks.
