We are new to camping and I was curious to, how far people have pulled their camper's to visit fw?

We pulled ae rig over 1400 miles to stay for nights.

Well actually it was a ford escort with two passengers and camplng supplies for all 6 of us. Supplies being two full size tents, air conditioner, cookware, sleepy bags, ect. Does that count?

Now we pull about 1100 miles. Before we moved, it was about 1500 miles.

We pull a 5th wheel from the Houston, Texas area about 1100 miles one-way.

About how long (time wise) did it take you. We are thinking about going to the grand canyon and I think it is 1800 miles one -way?

:thumbsup2 1500 Miles from just outside Lincoln, Ne in 2004. Going again in 2009 with DS and family. Both of us are pulling campers to Fort.

1160 miles to Fort Wilderness. The way home is longer I think.

We typically leave early (6AM) and drive till we get to Perry GA (just south of Macon) depending on traffic its about 15hrs. There is a nice campground just off I75 that we stop for the night at. We try to get back on the road by 9AM and then we are at FW around 2-3PM. It breaks up the long trip and allows us to get to FW without being wiped out from the road.
My truck has a fairly small fuel tank (26 gal) so we have to stop for fuel every 225 miles or so, we dont rush on the road when pullling the trailer, its not worth the grief.

We are going to FW for the firsgt time in Feb. '06 from Massachusetts. Approx. 1300 miles. But te people we are going withhave brought teit TT to FW a number of times and we are meeting another couple from out town there too. They wil be driving their Class A. I knw it takes about 24 hrs straight driving, but now that we are retired I want to take at least a week and stop at oter places on the way.

Can't wait for mid-Jan so we can be on the road.

According to mapquest, 1128.4 miles from our driveway in Buda, TX to Walt Disney World entrance. Did it back in 2001, doing it again this December. Something tells me our gas bill will be a bit higher than our last trip........

We've actually pulled our trailer to California and back and to Montana (right up to the Canadian border). Our kids are old pros at long car trips.

1250 miles from my part of Illinois. We also take our time. I have driven it several times with just me and the kids. If so, I take 2 1/2 days. First day just past Nashville, TN. Second day to near the Georgia/Florida border. Then we ar at FW by noon on the third day...at the hottest time of the day to set up our site. Tried something different this year and left the camper in storage in Florida...

We usually take 2 days to go 1100 miles. Pulling a camper is a little more stressful and tires you out.

We pulled our 23' KZ Coyote hybrid 1300 miles one way from Ontario, Canada.

Before it was 900 (one way) from Annapolis, MD.

We moved a little closer, so now it's about 475 from jsut north of Atlanta.
