How far from WDW to Port?

We're staying at HIFS for a few nights before we cruise. How long will it take us to drive from HIFS (about a mile from Disney property) to the Port on a Sunday morning. We want to be at the Port by 10:30 or so. Also, does anyone know where I can find good directions? I'm afraid to just trust MapQuest.

It's about an hour to an hour twenty, depending on traffic and weather. The best place I've seen for directions and stuff is Dave's site's map page.

We did the land & sea, and at Caribbean Beach Resort they had a DCL desk, with someone there with a map to the port. But yes it's a real easy drive, I'll get my map and post the directions...

ok, here it goes,
You take Ocala Pkwy East, follow 417(toll rd) also known as the Greenway, to S.R. 528(Beeline). go east on S.R. 528 When you come to a fork in the road, veer right to stay on S.R. 528. You will go over several bridges before approaching S.R. 401. Take S.R. 401 and stay in the right lane. Follow signs to North curise terminal #8.

If you are coming from Disney, it's easier to get on I4 eastbound, then get on the beeline... there is an exit on I4 for the 528 (beeline) same amount of time, and you miss a few tolls by staying off Osceola Parkway.


Us Floridians do everything to miss those stinking tolls!

It's about an hour and 10 min. (for us); the Disney resorts have map AND written directions--maybe HIFS does too??

Also, one tip when looking at signs as you near the port--you are looking for PORT Canaveral , not CAPE Canaveral. Not the same exit--don't follow signs to the Cape!!
