How far from any of the resorts to the Orange County Convention Center?

My sister is a hair stylist and is attending the hair show Aug. 28-29. She wants me to go with her, but I cannot get into the actual hair show, no big deal I have AP's! Yippee! Although, I must say, I have NEVER gone to WDW by myself and I'm already a little nervious. Anyway, in order for me to be able to go while she is at the hair show, we need to stay at a Disney resort so I can travel by bus and she can use the car. Any idea? Thanks.

The Convention Center is only about 5-6 miles from the front gate of Disney World. From there, it depends on what resort you are staying at. We were just down there begining of June and my wife had a conference there. It wasn't very far. Only took about 15 minutes.

Even with traffic, I think tops it would take is 25 minutes.

Take the Osceola Parkway out past Pop Century and the Gaylord Palms. Make a left turn onto International Gateway South and follow that up to the Convention Center. Took me about 20-25 minutes to do that drive. Avoid I4 all you can.
