How fancy do you dress for V & A?

We've booked a table in the queen's room for my birthday and it's our honeymoon too and I'm so excited! Now, I need to start thinking about what to wear. I know you should look nice but exactly HOW nice? Do people go all out and wear formal wear? I do love a sequin so I wouldn't mind putting on the ritz a bit. I mean, how often does a girl get to celebrate her birthday and honeymoon all in one trip?!?

What have you seen/worn/can recommend?

My husband wears a suit and tie and I usually wear a really nice dress, like one I would wear to a wedding or a fancy cocktail party. However, if you want to pull out all the stops, do it! Wear the sequins! Party it up! This is a time to remember!

Wear whatever makes you feel good except leave some room for food. I rank this as one of my top 5 meals I ever had. However it could have been that we just ran the disney marathon. Seriously we had a 7 course meal with wine pairings. Had to open a notch in the belt.

Everytime we have gone, I've worn a suit and tie, my wife, a very nice/formal dress. When our older kids went with us, they dressed similar.

The V&A's Main Dining Room offers you a choice between the 7- and 10-course dinner; the QV Room only offers the 10-course dinner.
