If we want 2 studios or 1 2-BR villa at one of the Monorail resorts for a slow time of year (March/April 2017). It will be weeks after Spring Break and 1-2 weeks before Easter.

Do we need to reserve 11 months in advance?

Thanks.

Been to Disney 10+ times in last 10 years but we have never rented DVC points before. But with my in-laws joining our family of 4 (5 y/0 and 2 y/o), we need more space.

Thanks for your help.

Late March early April is still spring break in some areas

I would book as soon as you can

Chicago area spring break is last week of March or early April.

if you are renting DVC points and want a monorail resort the earlier the better.... If a timeshare is not full a member is losing the points, they do not work the same as a cash resort...and the monorail resorts are the first to fill up.

Book at 11 months! A must if you want 2 studios at Villas Grand Floridian or any standard view 1BR or 2BR there. So few of those and they go super fast. BLT a little easier, but standard view studios go fast because of lower point cost (although those are small studios and your group would be better off in a 2 bedroom). 2 Poly studios would work for you, and lots are connecting there although they can't guarantee that. As for which resort. Families with strollers, NOTHING beats how easy that walk from BLT to MK is, but we stayed there 2 years ago in a 1 BR and I was sad about how much it felt like we were not at a Disney resort (nice modern style, but no theming, but views from lake view and Theme park view rooms are definitely nice). We are renting a deluxe studio at Poly in November as I wanted more of a resort feel and Disney feel. I waited too long and missed out on getting a room at VGF, but I am excited about Poly. With a 2 year old you may be spending more time in the room, so I would definitely consider the 2 BR. Can you even do 6 in a 1BR? 2 studios at Poly would work too and may be a good way to get separation from your in-laws (for their sanity :) if they need a break). poly owners are out there just search old posts and PM them.
