I haven't been to Disney since this new reserve on line in advance FP thing.....it's stressing me out and annoying me quite a bit. I liked the system before though it included a bit of running around at the parks grabbing this fp and that fp etc. anyway.....

My rough plan for the week is as follows: (my 60 days isn't here yet to actually reserve the passes)

Saturday 6/6.
will get to AK around 12p
. Hoping to get FP for Dinosaur, Ks, Kali and then have son ride EE in single rider line. How likely is this to happen? Ideally are hoping to ride Dinosaur multiple times. Wouldnt' mind seeing Lion King show, but not necessary.
Sunday 6/7.
MK at rope drop.
Have NO IDEA what to get FP for.....HELP? Need a plan for this day. We have an ADR for CRystal Palace at 1, but I can always cancel. Planned to leave after parade then come back later evening.
Monday 6/8
EPC at rope drop

Plan to have FP for Test Track and ride Soarin as soon as we get there. Likely? Ideally will do future world and leave around 1 then come back around 5 and do the countries and see Illumininations.
Tuesday 6/9
DHS at rope drop

Plan to go straight to TSM then to ROR (son will use single rider line). Plan to get FP for TSM for a 2nd ride, TOT and Star Tours. Likely? (We have an ADR for H&V at 2). Planned to leave after meal and come back after 7p. Better idea here to get a FP for Fantasmic or the H&V fantasmic package thing?
Wednesday 6/10
MK at rope drop.
Will need to leave by 3p for late flight. Need a plan. Help!

*I've never done the whole leave the park, go back to resort, then head back at night thing. Seemed like a lot of time on the buses going back and forth. this trip is easier because it's just my son and me so seemed reasonable plus going in june seems much hotter and the break might be necessary. Thoughts? (we've gone in Oct or NOv in the past)

I'm Forgetting the site that you can plug in destination and where from and it tells you how long it is to get there. Anyone know?

THANK YOU

Your plans look a lot like what I want to do! I think you'll have no prob.

I got everything I wanted, including 7DMT, Space Mountain, and BMTRR, for our recent visit mid-March. I stayed up for the window opening 60 days out. Our group is only 3 people. A&E can be hard, and I have heard of people not getting it. However, I think I mainly see that for people not trying right at the window opening 60 days out. Don't stress. It's really not as bad or hard as it seems. We've done it twice now. Try not to let the anxiety and negativity on the board about FP+ affect your trip. It doesn't do any good to worry, until there's something to worry about. Have a plan and have a ball. Good luck.

Put your plans down on a chart, say 7 days(or whatever) along the top and hours 8am - 12midnight down the side. I use Openoffice or Excel. When all your plans are roughed in (which park each day) then fill in desired shows, meals, rides etc. I always go to EMH so they decide for me which day for which park. This goes against the published touring schedules which tell you NOT to go to EMH.
When it's time to book ADR's or FP+ you will already have an idea of when to book them. I start at my last day and move towards my first day. I pick the option that works closest to your plans, then go back in after all are booked and change them (if ness.) to fit your ADR's and shows etc.
Anyway that's how I do it! It's actually easy.

The only one I had trouble with was A&E. The rest were easy, and I even changed my mind and picked new ones several times in the week following my FP selection opening.

I don't think you'll have much of a problem -- just based on the fact that

1. Early June won't be as busy as Late June/July
2. You are only party of 2
3. You have clear idea of top rides you want
4. You seem willing to be at parks early at RD and use that to your advantage

On last day FP a fave or rides you didn't get to on first MK day?

My only concern is that you are budgeting 1 day to see all of Epcot. The WS is huge. Lots to see especially if you want to see performers and/or shop in each country.

Good luck!

If you don't want Anna and Elsa it should be fine. We were a party of 6 last year mid-june and didn't get to book FP until the night we arrived. Most everything was available except A&E and 7DMT and a few parades. And toy story at Hollywood studios. If you book at 60 days out you will be fine.

If you plan to leave a park and come back to that same park at night, and you have already used you 3 scheduled FP+, It is a good strategy to stop at a FP + Kiosk on your way out in the afternoon to try to get one for when you return in the evening. This may work especially well on your DHS day. You may be able to get a Fantasmic FP before you leave in the afternoon.

I would not waste your preselected tier one FP+ on Fantasmic, but if it was available as a late day FP number 4 or 5 I would use it.

If you plan on eating TS in DHS anyway, then the dinner pakage may be worth it. On the DDP you get Appitizer, Entre and a desert sampler at MM.

My son wants to eat buffets so I thought Hollywood and Vine but the time I got is not really convenient for our plan for the day, that's why I was thinking FP..... Ugh..this is all too complicated.

At AK by about 4 pm you should be able to ride Everest and Dinosaur as many times as you want. Those lines get very short late in the afternoon.

Also, go to the later performance of Fantasmic if you can. The lines for the headliners can get really short during the first show, giving you plenty of time to hit the headliners another time or two each. Just don't be discouraged by the posted wait times, which are often greatly exaggerated in the evening.

Last year we stayed off property. I logged in at midnight every night 30 days in advance for each day of our trip and got every experience on every day- including A&E, 7DMT, everything on the day we wanted them, though some were not the best times. Some FP's were completely gone 20 minutes later, but then more were released each morning during the trip. Book the best you can at 60 days out, but don't give up. There are a couple more chances!

You do not need either a F! Dining Pkg. or a F! FP to see F!
For the first (or only) F! performance of the evening...
Just arrive at the F! theater 50-60 minutes before start-time, walk in, sit down and wait for the show to begin.
(You can even bring in snacks or visit the in-theater concession stand.)
There is a "pre-show" (such as it is) that helps fill the last half-hour before the show begins.

Now...
You very, very likely can get a FP+ for F! very late in the day (maybe even on your way into the theater.)
This is because they issue so many of them. Thousands, in fact. Nearly half the the theater.

What a FP will NOT do is guarantee a seat.
Neither will getting the F! Dining Pkg. No guarantee of getting in.
Guests must still arrive at least 30 minutes (I'd be earlier) before show-time,
as on busy nights as the show-time gets closer, the CMs open any remaining reserved seats
over to stand by (walk-in) guests.

What a FP+ WILL do is give you more CHOICES of seating, once in the theater.
Arrive 50-60 minutes before show time.
If you have a FP, you can choose to sit in any of the available FP seating -or- any of the stand by seating.
Without a FP, you can only choose to sit in stand by seating.

Map Below-
Arrows indicate the center of the seating.

Shaded areas:
(First or Only F! performance of the evening)
Cyan= Standby (walk-in) seating
Red= Dining Plan Reserved
Blue= FP+ Reserved
Purple= Can be either FP+ or Dining Plan Reserved, depending on needs.

(Second or Third F! performance of the evening)
Cyan= Standby (walk-in) seating
Red, Purple, Blue= FP+ Reserved
(Although much of the outer Blue will likely be used for Standby.)

We had done two trips since the introductions of FastPass Plus. I have never logged in at midnight - I need my sleep too much for that, but did get on about 5:30 AM before work and had no trouble getting all the fast passes I wanted.
