How easy/difficult is it to get a Value One Bedroom at 11 months at AKV?

And if you have had a value One Bedroom, are they usually at Jambo vs. Kidani? What type of view did you have? TIA!

1) ALL of the value villas are at jambo. every single one.

2) i have only stayed in the value studios but i've had 1 savanna view and 1 parking lot view (some pool view rooms are also available). you cannot request a view when booking value rooms, just hope for the best and enjoy the lower point cost.

3) i think there are at most 10 value 1BRs, so i would book exactly when the 11 month window opens to be safe. but i think if you book or waitlist right at the 11 month window, you are very, very likely to get one.

we got 5 nights in a value 1 bedroom 6 months out for early Sept. A busier time (Dec etc) would probably be harder.

Thanks so much for the info. I will cross fingers for the view, but it is what it is!

Early Dec, Thanksgiving, Christmas weeks are hard. The rest of the time I have seen a lot of availability.

Booking 11 months out you will get value, particularly a 1BR, with some risk otherwise (although most likely not a risk for a 1BR) a the few days around Thansgiving, first and second week of Decmeber and Dec 23 to Jan 1. It is wise not to delay beyond the 11 month window for value although there are a few times of year when values are even open at 7 months out and 1BRs beyond that.

I am actually hoping for a one bedroom value sometime in the first 2 weeks of December (not this year!). Since I own at AKV and I can call at 11 months exactly, I am hoping for no problems getting it. I have heard about waitlisting, although I don't know much about it. :)

I needed 2 value studios for 9 days in August. I didn't have enough points for anything else. I was concerned that I would book the first one only to find there wasn't a second one available for all the dates, so I walked it.
It was worth the effort for me to get exactly what I wanted..

How does "walking the reservation" work?

I called the first morning exactly 11 months ahead of time to try to reserve a value 1-bedroom for 8 nights for early December, but nothing was available. We ended up reserving a 1 bedroom standard view since we wanted to bank some points to use next year when we take family members.
