How early would you book Hojo?

I talked to dh and convinced him that my plan of staying 6 nights/7 days was fabulous. (Or at least got him to grudgingly agree to it! lol!) We will go next June and stay for a week. I would like to stay at Hojo in the kid suites. How early should I book? If I book early, then ent. rates come available for that time period, will they apply them to my stay, or am I stuck with the higher rate?

WWYD?

You can find better coupon codes than the Entertainment book has so I probably wouldn't worry. I don't know how far out you can book -- I don't think that far. I just found a disboard coupon code good for 15% off which is better than the 10% off from the Entertainment book. Right now there's no expiration date that I could find and it's been good for quite some time.

The code is "lndb" for 15% off. Saved me over $6 per night vs the Entertainment book savings.

Well, I just called them about 2 hours ago and booked for May! :yay: So I'd say go for it, you can always change or cancel - as long as you do it 48 hours out there is no penalty. I spoke to Desi after several e-mails between ourselves this past week and she was lovely.

I got 15% discount for being on the DIS Boards/having an Entertainment card - if the dates open up you can change and get as much as 50% off.

When people refer to the entertainment rate at the Hojo's on here, they are usually referring to the rate of 50% off as mentioned by the poster above. Hojo's has a page on their website that lists the dates when the 50% rate is available. At that rate, the rooms are $59/night (standard), $69/night (deluxe), $79 (premium), and kids suites at $99/night. It's a great deal at these prices. You don't need a card or any code when you book the room.....You just need to show them a valid entertainment card upon check-in.

I would book the room as early as possible. There is no charge to make a reservation, and yes, you can book at a different rate and then change it to the ent. rate when it becomes available. That's what makes it so great.....no need to wait at all.

Perfect! Thanks so much! I'll call on Monday and see if they are booking out that far yet. :) WOOHOO!!

I agree- book it now and keep an eye out for better rates. I ended up coming across a $129 AAA rate for the kids's suite, which was a better deal than the disboards rate. I went ahead and booked it and am glad I did because I never saw it come up again. BTW, If you add the HOJO as a Facebook friend, it will keep you posted when they add entertainment book dates. No luck for us for our July trip, but you never know!

You're very welcome! :) I just went to their website and tried to book for June, 2011. It looks like you can only book now for dates that are 1 year away, and not longer than that. It took my dates for the beginning of June, but not for the end of June, so it would depend on what days in June you are planning on going. BTW, you should call in-house reservations (at the actual hotel in Anaheim), and not the 1-800 (general reservatons) number. It's much easier to deal with them at the actual hotel. Their number is 1-714-776-6120. Good luck! I hope everything works out for you. :)

Thanks for the number! We're going the first week of June, so I should be good to book! I'm so excited!

(It's gonna be a looooong year! lol!)

If you just go to the HOJO anaheim website they are taking on-line ressies for next year through July I believe. Then later if they have the entertainment rates available for your dates you can change to the ET rate. I am waiting for them to extend the on-line ressies through Nov. next year to make my ressies ;) Actually, even though the calendar goes through July 2011 the previous poster is correct they are only allowing 1yr prior for bookings.
