We've already got a trip scheduled for this June, but it got me thinking. Next year I graduate college (you're never to old to go back AND finish!) and I want our trip to be extra special. How early can you book rooms and what difference does an AP make? I'm thinking an AP would be a great graduation gift ;) So, any advice?

Thanks!!
Tish

I start thinking of a date the minute I get on the plane to go home.
I've only been twice and it works out to be about every 3.5 years for us.
I really get heavy into the planning about 6 months prior.
You can book rooms for years and years ahead. They just wont guarentee rates.
I'm not sure about the AP.
Happy Graduation! :flower:

Tishke- I'm in the same position as you. We're going to WDW this July, as we have for the past 5 or 6 years. We always go in July because that is when my summer breaks are. I graduate in June of 2006 and I hope to have a special trip to celebrate. My step-father has been paying for the family to go for the past 20 years... now I'm going to be getting my degree in the same field. It'll be nice when we have two great incomes to afford our special family trips!!!
I think I'll start planning our 2006 trip as soon as I get back from this year's trip.

Tish...
You can make your plans years out, just like Disneydreamerinny said. I would suggest making plans at least a year out. My friends and I are going to WDW and taking a DisneyCruise this summer for our high school graduation, and we've been planning for about a year and a half. If I may say so, a DisneyCruise is a great way to celebrate a graduation. Everything is covered, from food to entertainment, plus you get to travel the Caribbean. And if you really want to go to WDW, they have a 7 night "Land and Sea Option." You basicly get to stay either 3 or 4 nights at WDW, and then take a 3 or 4 night Caribbean cruise. It's great. Hope you have a great trip. Oh, I also am not sure about the AP's. You may have to call WDW directly.
Have a great trip!

Thanks for the replies. I'll probably start planning as soon as I get back. I have to work up a budget and see just how big we can go. I'd like to at least stay in Delux for a night or two and picking one would be hard. Good thing I will have lots of time to plan.

Like disneycruise05 said, a cruise can be planned a couple of years ahead of time because they are so in demand. However, if you weren't meaning a cruise reservation, I'm pretty sure you can call and ask a CM the earliest you can reserve hotel rooms, etc. I'd imagine you can reserve them about a year in advance. Happy Early Graduation!
