First week of August, how early do you need to get to the Fantasmic Theater to make sure you get seats? Thanks!

an hour. i know we tried one time, dont remember the time of year, but we got there 30 mins before the show started and it was full already. they were not letting people in.

Plan on being there an hour early. The benches aren't very comfortable but you can take in some snacks and relax while you wait.

If you book a FP as your 4th or so that day, plan on arriving 45 minutes early to get the most centrally located seating in the FP area.

With guests now having to choose between Fantasmic and the new SW fireworks show, you should have a good choice of seats by using a FP.

It can also vary seasonally and is different from a first show of the evening to a second show. When there are 2 shows, minimum one hour for the first show and 30 minutes for the second show may be good enough. You can judge based on where the line is for the second show or ask a CM. When there is one show, and it's busy, you may need to be there 90 minutes before. First week of August is usually still "summer busy."

If possible, I second the FP suggestion. We went last year without one and were so disappointed with the seating option/section and our view of the show. I make it a priority to have a FP for it now. On the flip side, we were there last week and attened the 10:30pm show with an amphitheater that was only half full. It all depends on the crowds...
