How early should I arrive at California Grill?

My husband and I have a 7:30 reservation at California Grill for this Thursday. Wishes is scheduled for 8pm. We are hoping for a window seat in order to have an unobstructed view of the fireworks. Can anyone offer any advice on how early we should get there to request a table?

1. A limited number of "window seats" have a view of fireworks.

2. A 7:30ADR is unlikely to be seated until after Wishes.

7:30 may be too late for any sort of Wishes view from the table with an 8:00 fireworks. California Grill is a longer meal. By 7:30 people will be holding on to their tables until after the fireworks, especially if they have a window seat with an unobstructed view. I, personally, would not book later then 7:00 and still would not be going with the thought that I wanted a specific table location.

Chances are slim to none no matter how early you arrive. Your ADR is for 7:30 and at that point no one is giving up a window table. I would plan on viewing from the deck.

You'll have an unobstructed view from the deck. Nobody stays at their table to watch Wishes. We had a window seat, front and center, and it was not a great seat for fireworks.

At 7:30 anyone with a window table will not be leaving until after the fireworks so plan on checking in and going out on the deck to view Wishes. We actually prefer the clearer view from the deck. If you are willing to wait until after fireworks to be seated, many of the window tables will be vacant and the view of the MK is still beautiful.

We had a window view from our table and ended up going out on the deck for the clearer view. Plan to view from the deck and be pleasantly surprised if you are seated.

I would plan on arriving no later than 7. The check in process can be long, since you checkin on a lower floor and then are escorted up to CG.

Thanks for the advice everyone! Based on your experiences, my husband and I decided to cancel the reservation at California Grill and went to Casey's Corner instead. I really can't imagine how the view could have been better anywhere else, it was really amazing.
