My mother and I have decided to do a trip in December 2016. I'd love to start to get myself organized and kind of "work towards" the excitement of our trip. I don't know what to do or where to start, though. I'm also scared it's almost too early to start planning as it's over a year away.. but it might be the last trip my mother and I take together so I want it to be perfect.

thanks!

I'm going with not to early.... You can already book your hotel! And thinking about ADRs and stuff park hours won't be out for a while and ADRs are probably sometime in June depending on when your going. But no not to early! At least IMO!

Happy planning

You are not too early at all. You have plenty to do! Which week will you go? Which resort? Start with that. Look at historical attendance and weather, etc. We went the first week of December in 2013 and were surprised by how busy it was. I think December has become more popular so plan well!

Nah. I have a May 2017 trip planned in my head.....

thank you for your opinions! :) do you think it's worth making a pre trip report? I think it would definitely keep everything in one place.. and I can speak to those who are as in love with Disney as I am! lol

If you want to do a PTR do it! I know a few people who have ones for next year at that time some which have been going for a while!!!

Send me the link so I can follow along!

I decided to do a PTR because I'm hoping it'll help me do a trip report after the fact. I wish I had done a trip report of some sorts for all our trips just because some of the details get lost, and forgotten over time.
