How early for Room Request Dolphin?

Hi - We are happily planning for our second trip to WDW this summer. I was fortunate enough to get a great price on priceline.com for the Dolphin in June - I would like to call to request double beds. Is it too early now to call and kindly ask for double beds or should I wait until a couple weeks before we leave. I have already signed up for a Starwood preferred card. Is there anything else I need to know before we go ? I am so excied to be staying at the Dolphin and going to WDW!!

Side note for Dolphin experts - we are going to Hoop Dee Doo(7:30) on our first night , we will have our own car - what is the easiet way to get there from the Dolphin , Buses? or take our own car?

Hi Disneyglobegirl,

If you haven't already done this, you may want to make sure that your SPG number is linked to your reservation. I made my requests at the time of reservation and then emailed them again a week before my trip. All of my requests were met.

I think that as of January 1, Starwood will not be allowing SPG benefits (points, room upgrades, etc.) on reservations made through alot of outside vendors. I believe the full listing is on the SPG website.
