How early do boats start prior to Early Entry?

In regards to the boat from Wilderness Lodge to MK: I've seen boats start anywhere from 30-60 minutes prior to park opening. Is this 30-60 before Early Entry or normal park opening? That 30 minute window is pretty large; is it pretty random or is there usually a set time they use each day?

I want to make sure I have plenty of time to get to the park before the Early Entry. Is it safe enough to use the boat directly to MK or is it better to just use the boat to Contemporary that says it starts at 6:45 and then walk/monorail over?

As of reports earlier this month, the boats that circle Bay Lake between FW, WL and CR was not running. It has not started back up since the parks/resorts have reopened. So, your option would be either the boat or bus from Wilderness Lodge to MK. I am not sure what time the boat to MK is currently running, but it should be at 30 minutes prior to early entry.

While first boat of the day is always one of those YMMV situations, reports on the resorts board tend to indicate they’ve been about an hour before early theme park entry. Someone on the WL thread reported this week a boat came right around 7:25am and they departed around 7:30am (8:30am early entry time).

I had a CR stay recently during a time when MK opened at 8 (7:30am early entry) and in the AM when I’d be out running it seemed like the boats were heading out from the storage yard in that 6:20-30’ish range.

As PP notes, the CR-WL-FW boat (the Blue Flag Launch) has yet to return.

Did someone use the boats from poly to Magic Kingdom for Early Entry and can tell me when the first boat leaves ? I wanted to be there as soon as possible. Is the Skyliner an better option then ?
