How early can we check in?

Ok, I know this might be a stupid question...and I realize that our room (er, cabin in our case) may not be available until the afternoon...but we want to get into the parks ASAP! We are driving up the night before and staying in a "regular" hotel (very close to WDW) the night before our resort ressies. We've got MYW tix as part of the package...
Any idea how early is too early to pick up our park tickets and "check in"? Wondering if there is any chance we can make rope drop at Epcot that day...

I think it's either 6:00 or 7:00am. You should have plenty of time to check in and still make rope drop!!!
