How early are "early booking Discounts"

I find it very frustratiing that the cost of booking the August 20 Magic cruise back in May of 04 (as a Castaway Club member) was only $0.40 cheaper than it is today. Did I do something wrong? (cat 11, 2 adults, airfare and insurance included)

The repositioning cruises went from some EBS to no EBS in a matter of hours on the first day of booking. It sounds like you booked later in the day.

They sold out much quicker than DCL thought they would. I booked on the first day and the price difference is almost $ 2000 more today!
