How does USH compare to USO?

We love USO (even before IOA came along), but I have read mixed reviews on USH. We are trying to plan out our Vegas/ CA trip for May and I was trying to decide if USH would be worth a day from DL. How does USH compare to USO? I know Jurassic Park and Waterworld are at USH but what else is different that makes USH so unique? We're on a time crunch so I'm trying to fiqure out how to spend our days. If you had the option of going to USH, or actually visiting Hollywood for the day, what would you do? Also are there in great tour private tour companies for a Hollywood visit? We're also thinking of going to San Diego to the Zoo and maybe Sea World. Speaking of Sea World, how does it compare to the one in Orlando? Is it better? Thanks for any information!

USH is so much bigger than USO plus the backlot tour is much much better. I love USH as it is on two levels and Waterworld is great to see plus the Spiderman show.

USH is a real, working movie studio so the Tram Tour is unique. There are
very few rides so the whole park can be seen in a few hours depending
when you go.

And sorry to tell you Claire, but the Spider-man show is long gone. You can

Hollywood often disappoints people. It's hard to know what you're expecting,
but the boulevard is really just a busy street in a big city. Sure it has some
famous landmarks, but people expecting to be dazzled by something
glamorous or out of the movies are surprised.

If I was from out of town I'd try to do both. Stop at the Chinese Theater in
Hollywood, walk around the area for an hour and then head to USH.

What ARE your expectations of Hollywood?
