How does this work?? DDP/Passes question

Through my job, I have free park tickets for me and three others. There are five of us in our party going to WDW this September for Free Dining. The fifth person is going to need to get a 7-day pass, but what about the rest of us? Do all of us have to book at least one day passes (to qualify for Free DDP), or does it only need to be one person on the reservation? Can I book the fifth person a 7-day pass, or should they just upgrade when we get to our resort?

Also, we're going to need two rooms -- is this going to be considered two reservations, or only one?

To get free dining.. everyone in each room has to buy at least a 1 day base ticket. The fifth person will need to upgrade at check-in.

Otherwise EVERYONE would need to buy a 7 day ticket. And I don't think you want that.

Thanks so much!! And I guess I'll find out the answer to my question about # of rooms=# of reservations when I call CRO in less than 7 hours!
