We're going to WDW next August for 7 days. It's the first time for the kids (ages 10,8 and 5) and we're staying at the Contemporary. As much as I want to see and do everything, I also want lots of family time.

I'm thinking that each day we'll head back to the hotel pool for a few hours in the early afternoon. I'm planning to order lots of cereal and breakfast fixings from gardengrocer, so breakfasts (with the exception of the Akerhaus princess breakfast) will be in the hotel room.

We're on the DDP, and I'm short one TS meal, but I can play with that once I know more. I don't know our arrival or departure times yet, or early/late closing days. So this WILL change:

Tues: arrive, hang at pool, CS dinner at MK

Weds: morning: MK
evening: Epcot, dinner at Coral Reef

Thurs: morning: Epcot, Akerhaus princess breakfast
evening: MK

Fri: morning: hang out at pool
early afternoon: MGM, Fantasmic dinner package @ Hollywood & Vine

Sat: morning: Animal Kingdom
evening: early dinner @ Chef Mickeys, then MK

Sun: morning: Disney Downtown (maybe lunch @ Wolfgang Puck Express)
evening: Epcot: dinner at Le' Cellier

Mon: leave for home, maybe quick hop to MK

We always take a break in the afternoon to just rest. Sometimes we take a nap or take a swim at our hotel. We like the campground so sometimes we just cruise around on our golf cart. That is the beauty of a Disney vacation, so many options to choose from.

i can't hear it LOL:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :cool1: just kidding. i couldn't help it.

Check out a waterpark!! We went in August 2006 with our kids (10, 9, 5 at the time) and they LOVE LOVE LOVE Typhoon Lagoon.

We have never park hopped with the three kids...we found more than enough to do at one park a day (but to each his own...of course) Now that we are going wo kids this month, I sprung for Hoppers but we usually go without them as a family. Would rather save the 40 pp for a water park entry.

Have fun...You will get addicted so be warned!!

Sorry;)

I have 3 kids and I teach HS Math. I just always ASSUME that people can hear what I'm saying, even if it's in print.

Let me re-phrase my question:

Do you see any glaring ommissions/mistakes??

If you're early riser's , you may want to think about Extra Morning Hour's. Then when it get's busy, jump back to the Hotel for a swim.

other then that your plan looks great. soory if i offended you. it was just funny at the time.

Be warned......it is very hot in August and once you hit the pool the kids may not be ready to leave. If you are flexible in your plans and dont let dining reservations get in your way you will be ok.

OK, I'm back.

We made our airfare reservations. (Funny how I keep saying "we." My husband is more than happy to leave the planning to the psychotic one, and to be ready when I say so.)

We're getting there early (10 am) on Weds 8/13, and leaving late (7 pm) on Tues 8/19. (I found we could save on airfare by moving the whole trip back one day.)

So.... I still have one more ressie to plan, and it really could be the first or the last day. I haven't looked yet at the EMH timetable; last time I checked it hadn't been posted for August.

Any suggestions or changes you would advise?
