How does this sound?

and advice appreciated.

We are going to WDW next April and staying off site for 11 nights. We are planning at this stage to just get the basic 10 day tickets-no parkhopper. I think we will spend 1 day at AK, 3 at MK, 2 at Epcot, 1-2 at MGM. Does this sound like a good amount of time at each park? I figure with the extra days we can go back somewhere if we feel we haven't seen enough at a particular park. We have four kids-3 boys who will be 11,7 and the youngest will turn 6 while we are there :) and we have a daughter who will be 3.5.

Thanks in advance

Yvette

but I would be tempted to get the parkhopper option. I like to be able to hop from park to park if crowds get heavy. Or go to eat somewhere I want to w/o being dictated by the park I am in. But, my kids are older, which makes it easier to hop. And you can always add the hopping option after arrival, if you decide you want/need it. Remeber, in USA, April is spring break season, so there may be ALOT of people at WDW then :crowded: :crowded:

I'd also like to add that if you aren't staying on site and are not parkhopping, then make SURE you don't go to a park with an Extra Magic Hour that day. You can't take advantage of the EMH and those two parks will be more crowded than usual. Just a quick tip.

Have you thought of spending any time at the waterparks or DisneyQuest? You certainly have enough time.

Have fun!

Another vote here for gettting the park hopper option. The water parks would also be something to consider. They make good rest days.

Personally, I would hold off on adding the park hopper or waterpark options until I arrived at WDW and got a feel for things. You can always add those options to your tickets if you find that you need them, but once you've purchased tickets with those options, you cannot get a refund if you decide not to use them. For a family of 6, that could be a substantial amount of money wasted if you end up not using them.

You cannot use the extra days as a 'hopper' to go to another park as far as I know. It's to be used for 10 different days not using two days worth of tickets for one day. I know I should explain that better, but my I'm tired.;)

Personally 2 days at MK is a great amount of time. Lets you hit things that you missed the first time, go on rides you want to do again and give you time to spare. Three days there is a bit much personally but it is your trip:)

I would also do a day or two of a waterpark, disneyquest and downtown disney.
