How does this happen?

We will be doing Minnie’s dinner and then Fantasmic afterwards at 8:30. People have stated that the Osborne lights stay on another hour after closing (so until 9 apparently) and then it just dawned on me…HS closes at 8pm so how is it that Fantasmic is at 8:30 that night? Why would a show be 30 min after a park closes? What am I missing here? So if that’s the case, then we still won’t be able to ever see the lights since they are pulling them and they, I assume, will be off by the time we get out of Fantasmic??
