I understand you can get FOTL passes for two days even though you only stay one night, but exactly how is that done?
If you have to check out by a certain time, do you need to use the passes "before" check out?
Same with check in. You have to wait until after you check into your room before you can use the FOTL passes?
Seems to me in either case, you don't have a lot of actual time in the parks.
If so, then is it better to stay two nights?
Really not understanding the actual logistics on this at all. Can someone detail it more fully for me?
thx so much,
lori

the fotl perks are tied into your hotel key card.

it allows the registered on site guest to have fotl for all rides and attractions from the date they check in up to midnight/park closing for the day they check out.

therefore, you spend a thursday night at pbh, rph, or hrh and get to use your card as fotl all that thursday.

once you register at the hotel, your card is valid for you to use it in the park. it is good for fotl (and/or charging privleges if you requested that.) your room might not be ready so you would store your belongings with the bell hop.

you can call the front desk or leave a cell # for them to call you whenever your room is ready at the hotel. it will be ready by 4 pm.

you will be told your room number on that call.
you by pass the front desk and go directly to your room. you can specify to the front desk to have your luggage put in your room once it is assigned or wait until you are in your room for it to be brought up.

you can call the front desk or star service on your in room phone for the luggage situation.

if you are only staying one night on site at the hotel, you are to keep your room key. it is still valid at the parks for fotl but not charging perks now.

you can check out at 11:00 from the hotel on the next day/friday and have your belongings stored free of charge with the bell hops. you will be given a claim ticket to retrieve your stuff when you leave for your way home.
you can now go to the parks again for the day and not worry about how or where to store your luggage.
done with the park, go back to the hotel, show your claim ticket and get your stuff you stored.

you get 2 full days of fotl for one night stay.

your park admittance is not included in the hotel keys.
you have to buy your own park tickets.

hotel keys are not tied into any park tickets.

next question

My family did this in August duting our trip and it was very easy. We got to HRH about 8:30 AM and "checked-in" and received our room keys for FOTL access. We went to IOA in the morning and came back to HRH for lunch and a pool break. At about 2:30 the front desk called and said our room was ready. We went up and changed and went back into the park for the rest of the day. The next day we went to the parks in the morning and came back again for lunch and the pool. We checked out when we got back and we were able to change in the fitness center after we were done at the pool. We went back to the parks for the rest of the day. It all worked out great and it is certainly worth it.

Ok, got this.
So we can register early in the am on our check in day, get our hotel key card and use it at the parks for that day and "keep" the same hotel key card even after we check out by 11 the next day? When we are doen with it for that day and leave for WDW, what happens to the key card?

Here is a thread that a bunch of us put together, so hopefully it can explain any FOTL questions you have. :goodvibes
