Hiya,

What do you think about this schedule? Too greuling? We have an almost-4 year old who has been twice. My main strategy is to plan one nice meal per day (sometimes two... ;) ), a park or activity for the morning and leave the afternoons open after nap to do whatever we want.

Suggestions?

Thanks!! :) :) :)

I think that sounds like lots of fun. And definatly doable. We are going for only 6 days in December and will have our 3 *almost 4 yo* doing way more.
Hopefully she will be able to handle it.
We are having mostly late am's and early nights. Most of our play will be during the afternoon. The parks close early in Dec. too, so that will force us to be in bed early. So i don't forsee any major issues with our plan. Let us know how your's works out..and have a fun, great, fantastic time!!
:wave2:

I think it looks fine - you have lots of down time planned that can go either way - you can always stay later -- leave earlier if you don't need it.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm SOOOOO excited. DS is very unpredictable so I try to leave a lot of flexibility... ;)

Can't Wait! Can't Wait! Can't Wait!!!

I like your schedule a lot. The only thing I would possibly change is the MK trip on the first day. But that's just me. I like to let it sink in that you are at Disney and all is well... (for both the adults and kids!) :)

Enjoy yourself!

My DD was 2.75 yrs on her first trip. The biggest challenge we had was getting up early. Being from So. Cal. the time change was the biggest issue. Will you have much a time change?

Of course, I'm not sure who was the hardest to wake up early my almost 3 yr. old DD or my almost 20 yr. old niece (DLand CM-brought her along for the discounts!) Also the 20 yr. old needed at least 20-30 minutes to do makeup in the a.m. Needless to say, my mom and I discovered that traveling with 2 adults alone is very different than traveling with younger ones. Since my daughter has joined us (her 5th trip will be this Sept.-her 6th birthday) we have yet made an early morning. I just don't have the heart to wake her that early. One thing I have tried recently, with some success is starting to wake her up at home a little earlier each day to make the 3 hr difference not so bad.

I have a great picture of her first ride (second time around) on the Safari. We had managed to get to AK when it opened and rode Safari first thing. We rode twice in a row and on the second trip I looked over at my daughter on my niece's lap and said " catch her-she's falling asleep!" And she did. She'd only been up about an hour but the lack of sleep caught up with her. She slept through the rest of the ride and for the next hour or so.

Scheduling down time is a must. It looks like you have alot scheduled-that's great! I think my DD has enjoyed playing on the beaches of the Polynesian and Carribean and the resort playgrounds, and of course the pools, as much as she liked the parks. Many times after eating, we will go to the resorts play areas (even if we are not staying at that property) and let her play. She has the best time. And if she finds a "friend" to play with, her joy is ten fold.

Have a great time, I'm sure you will. 59 days and counting :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'd plan an easier day when you arrive. Not sure how early you get there, but that sounds like an awful lot. I'd personally skip the MK and the after-dinner swim that day.

Also, doing every day in the park was too much for my 2.25 year old when we went in December, even though we took daily nap breaks, did early nights (bed by 8pm) and didn't push him hard. He just needed a day to ride the monorail, wander DTD (play at the Lego store!!) with us, and such.
