How does the QSDP math ever work out?

I just struggled with this same question. In the end I chose to go with the quick service plan, mainly because I'm paying for my package with my Disney Visa and get 6 months interest free.

I probably could have saved some money if I hadn't added the plan...many times I eat a kids meal or DD and I split an adult meal, but I'm not in a place to come home in June to a large amount added to my visa from dining. Having the plan added to my package spread that amount out.

I don't think any dining plan would make sense for me and the way I like to eat, but I'd love to see Disney come up with some kind of drinks plan that could be used anywhere on property.

I found this site the other day and it allows you to put in where you are going to eat and the compares how much it would cost you OOP vs the dining plan. It REALLY shows how the dining plans do not make sense for us. I picked out some of the most expensive restaurants to use as a comparison and it still ended up saying we would have had to pay an additional $200 for the plan over OOP. I am making plans to go during free dining so I dont have to worry about any of it! ::yes::

Thanks for this link. Looks like op is about $100 cheaper for us and that doesn't even take into account that we often order water and always choose the vegetarian dish which is less expensive usually

Well, okay then, that totally put that to rest. No dining plan for us! thanks!
(I knew it was true, but wanted it not to be, but now that I've heard it again, I believe!) :wave2:
