Hey guys i just wanna know how the last week of my CP works? like when do i stop working? My housing ID says it expires on 14th and thts my leave date.....but do i stop working on the like the 10th? how does it workkkk lol

Any help would be great.. thnkz!

I did spring advantage 09 and your housing ID expires the day you leave. You have to hand it in to your front office along with your apartment key before you leave.

As far as working goes... this is debatable. My role was hospitality and I had recieved an email at my Disney email address saying all managers were NOT to schedule their CP's or ICPs the day before their departure.

For example, My housing ID said August 7th... so I was not to be scheduled on August 6th.

Now, I'm not sure if that was for just my role, or if all roles were like that, but it was my understanding that it was a new rule being put into place and that before this, managers could schedule you as late as 11:00 pm or something like that.

Also, graduation was during my last week, too- just a few days before I left.

ICP's cannot make any changes to their last week of work in terms of ER's or requesting Days off because they are paid in advance. Regular CP's can ER, if allowed at their work location but if you request a day off, you will probably be denied.

You still pay rent your last week, so you will be scheduled for as many hours as you normally are.

I hope this helped :)

My daughter worked until 8 PM (close at AK) the night before her program was up - it made it really tough to have her moved out on time the next morning.

Just an update on this part. Most Florida-Site Disney International Programs Participants are actually no longer subject to the restriction on time off their last week of work.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc. will no longer prepay these Participants. Instead, they will have their final paycheques loaded onto the Payroll Cards they received at check-in. They can draw upon the funds in their countries of origin.

As to Participants' last week of work, it depends on worksite.

Due to recent policy changes, all Florida-Site Participants are now guranteed one day off prior to their departure date.

Florida-Site Workforce Management will schedule Participants with a Friday departure date off on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of their last week of work. Participants with a Saturday departure date will be scheduled off Friday and Saturday of their last day of work.

California-Site Participants who do not wish to continue with the Company after their Program must provide at least two weeks notice to their Salaried Leader before their Program End Date. The default option in California is to transition Participants into Casual Regular positions. As such, failure to provide proper notice of separation may preclude the Participant from further employment with the Company.

My program ended Friday, May 15th. My last day of work was Tuesday, May 12th. Some of my friends' last day of work was Wednesday that week.

My son's program ended on Friday, January 8th, and his last day of work in Hollywood Studios was Wednesday, the 6th.

All Walt Disney World Internship Program Participants: this is the most recent and current policy - while anything else said may have applied in the past (and surely, I've worked until 1AM in the morning on the Friday I was depart [literally, eight hours later I was on my way to the airport]), participants now will be given at least one day scheduled off immediately preceding your scheduled end date for packing and cleaning purposes. In many cases, for reasons of consistency, you will be scheduled a full load prior to the day preceding your departure (with no additional time off - labor will NOT approve any additional time off). If you need guaranteed additional time off on your last week, you'd need to follow the early release process and leave the program as a whole earlier than your scheduled program departure date.
