How does the express pass work based on staying onsite?

If I stay onsite to get the express pass from a deluxe hotel, how does it work as far as when you check into the hotel.

We want to arrive early morning the first day, check-in early if possible, then go to the parks. We would spend 2 nights at the hotel and 2-3 days in the parks. Will I get the free express pass that first day?

You can check in as early as you like. You will be issued with room keys even if your room is not ready.

Take the keys over to the booths off the check in area and you put each key into machine and it takes your pictures.

The machine issues you the room key size paper with your picture on it and that is your EP.

Valid from as soon as you check in till the end of your last day, even after you check out it`s still valid.

You can leave any luggage with bell services who will put it in your room when it`s ready if your room is not available when you check in.

x2.

We usually check in around 7am even though the room isn't ready. They will store your bags and even refrigerated insulin for us till our room was ready.

Hello everyone. Does one night at a deluxe equal 2 days of express pass? Btw, they only mean express pass correct and not unlimited express pass? We're thinking of doing a split stay between HRH and CBBR in which I'm thinking 3 nights at HRH would equal 6 days of EP. Is that right and would we have to use the EP consecutively for those 6 days? T.I.A.

It IS unlimited express pass but at HRH, RPR, and PBH only. If you check into HRH on Monday and check out on Thursday, and then move to CBBR on Thursday, your unlimited express pass from HRH would be good until midnight Thursday - your HRH check-out day. You will get the pass after you arrive at HRH on Monday and use it through end of day Thursday, but it will no longer scan at express pass entrances after Thursday. If you want express pass during your CBBR portion of your stay, you'd have to purchase it.

Oh my gosh THANK YOU for clearing that up. I've been searching for that answer for days. And actually we will be checking in on a Monday, 10/26, so your example was really helpful. I know crowds during HHN can get heavy so I think going deluxe would be a benefit at least for first few days. Thanks again!

Staying onsite at a deluxe gives you 2 days of UNLIMITED express pass. You get it from the day you check in through the end of the day you check out from the deluxe.

Ah, I was late! :)

Cabana Bay does give you early entry for Wizarding World (at least one of the WWs, maybe both depending on what they are doing during your stay), though.

The hotel Express Pass is not valid during the HHN event itself, if that's what you were thinking. I think you do get early entry to HHN though if you stay onsite.

Everyone that hold a day ticket to Universal and a HHN ticket can do stay and scream. But as far as I know there is not an EE or hotel guest for HHN.

There is a seperate hotel guest entrance available for HHN. Saves standing in the regular queue outside the gates.

It's over to the far right as you head in where metal detectors are.

Ok, thanks for the correction. But the hotel provided Express Pass isn't valid during HHN itself, correct?

Thanks for alerting, but yes I was aware that I would have to buy separate EP for HHN. Actually, we're probably skipping HHN altogether lol...it's way too scary for me!
