How does the citypass work at the DL gate?

We will use it for the first time and was wondering how does it work. Do we detach tickets and hand them at the gate or do we have to exchange them for the 3 day park hopper passes somewhere? any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

You exchange the voucher in your book for a 3 day park-hopper ticket. This is done at the ticket booths. You can get your ticket at any time so if you don't want to wait the morning of, you can get it the night before.

I believe that ive heard that you go to the ticket window and exchange them. I think, not sure but I know someone else asked and Im pretty sure that was the answer.
