Hi all - I'll be in Disneyland when my AP is blocked out. I know I need to get a "Black Out Day Pass" but my questions are

1) wherre do I go to get that?

2) how does it work...do they actually give me another ticket or just do something to my AP?

Thanks

You go to the regular ticket window...good luck with that, the lines can be VERY long. Sometimes they will let you buy the blackout pass at Guest Relations as well, so try that first...the lines are usually shorter there.

You do get a separate pass for the day that you use to enter the park and you need to have your AP to show with it as well.

How does the blackout pass work? What is the cost? How many can you buy a season? We just moved to So Cal and are thinking of getting the So Cal AP. This is the first time I have heard about blackout day passes.

They cost $25. You buy one when you want to enter on a blockout day. I don't know about any restrictions they may have.

Can you buy one the day before (like in the afternoon when the line isn't long) we will be there on a friday and saturday, but I don't want to waste anytime sat am waiting in line... also how does upgrading the premium to deluxe work (or whichever way it goes)... is it prorated?

thanks

>> How many can you buy a season? << Well you can buy as many as ya want but if ya need more than oh one or two it'd prob be cheaper to get a deluxe which has less blackout days

I doubt youd be able to buy them ahead of time as they are good for day of purchase only.

As for upgrading yes you just pay the difference but it doesnt get pro-rated for the rest of your time- The price is the same whether you upgrade the first week or the last week of your pass.

Personally I just get the Premium- then I dont have to worry about booking my trips around certain days (esp as a retail worker and student my days are limited anyways) The discounts are a nice perk :)

Course Im still in sticker shock over the raise in prices but that'll just mean Ill have to have 2 mandatory trips instead of just one.. :)

If you upgrade you pay the FULL AMOUNT of the difference between the one you have and the one you are upgrading to regardless of how many days you have left on the pass.
