Ok we have 2 home resorts, SSR and AKV. Right now we are booked in AKV at 7 months I want to change to a different resort if there is availability and add a day on at the begining of the trip. When I do that can I then ask them to use my 2009 points that I banked, the trip is being taken in my 2010 use year. We are looking at trying for BLT but if not we will stay at AKV but change catagory so would we be able to use our 2009 SSR points then?

At 7 months all points can be used regardless of the resort they're from.

Yes, at 7 months, you can use any of the points together to secure new reservations and you will be allowed to use those 2009 SSR points for any reservations.

What you will not be allowed to do is use those 2009 SSR banked points to replace the AKV points you used at 11 months to secure what you have now, unless there is still availability to book that room.

So, if you completely change the reservation, it will work. However, if you keep what you have, for all or part of the stay, then you must use only AKV points if there is no longer availability. For example, if you have a 1 bedroom Savannah view room booked and at 7 months, it is no longer available, then you can't change out the AKV points for the SSR points.

Ok thanks so much. Right now I have a 2bd LO but DH says he would rather have a 1bdrm since they had no dedicated. So I will definatly be changing it. Thankfully I didn't change when he said he didn't feel comfortable with the 2bd since I would have just stayed with what we booked if BLT is not available.

Thanks so much.
