My mommy/daughter trip is finally getting closer. We will be at WDW from 8/9-8/20. We are staying offsite so I have planned around early entry days. This is what I have planned so far... any comments?

8/9 - arrive at hotel around noon. Check out Downtown Disney or Boardwalk.

8/10 - MK

8/11 - MK, PS 8:10 at Cindy's

8/12 - Rest day, maybe TL or BB in am

8/13 - MGM, Fantasmic Dinner at 4:30

8/14 - AK

8/15 - Rest day, maybe TL again

8/16 - EPCOT - PS 8:30 Storybook Bkfst.
- PS 3:10 Ice Cream Social

8/17 - MK - PS Crystal Palace 2:30

8/18 - Resy day

8/19 - EPCOT

8/20 - Hang out at hotel and leave

I am open to any and all suggestions. I see many people divide time between 2 parks. Should I be thinking about this? How about Chef Mickey's for dinner on our arrival day? I saw others doing this and thought it sounded great.

I do want to do MK first day because DD6 has NO IDEA we are going to WDW. She does not even know we are going on a vacation yet! I know I am going to start crying when we walk up and see the castle that first day. I cannot wait!!!!

Yes, do Chef Mickeys for dinner on your first day!!! It's our family tradition at this point. It's a great way to start your trip and you get some great character interaction. With the monorail running over your head, it's a magical start.

As far as the rest of your time.....do you think your dd might get tired after being in one park all day? Not sure where you're staying tho. That could make mid-day rests hard to do. If you can't get in the mid-day rest/swim I would say head to some quiet spot and just relax for a bit. You could even try TL or BB. It would be crowded but you should be able to find an area off the beaten path to just chill in. And you could get a swim in with your dd. It's just nice to have that break in your day. I am a strong proponent of breaking up the day between two parks.

I did see that most days you have a PS someplace. That's a must for us, especially during the summer. When it's hot/humid you tend to not eat so the PSs help get some good food into your tummy. And you get cooled off at the same time.

Also, be aware that AK can get very hot in the summer. We try not to spend more than 1/2 a day at a time there. There isn't much of a breeze getting in there, so it just stays warm. And since there aren't nearly as many air conditioned things to do, you don't get the chance to cool down. Just wanted you to know that before you started.

Have a great time. We arrive on the 13th. Be prepared for rains. Drink a lot of water. Wear a hat.

Sent you a pm but I think you have a great schedule, you have plenty of time to "vacation" and rest, with the heat and humidity you were wise to schedule rest days and allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy all of the magic! It also allows you time to do other things if you want. Perhaps some time at the outlet malls nearby. The look on your daughters face when she first sees the MK will be priceless! Enjoy!

I think your plan looks good and with multiple days at the MK, you could maybe leave early and hit the pool at your hotel if dd is getting wiped out. Intersperse indoor, cool attractions such as TTA, Carousel of Progress and Philharmagic to allow some time to sit and relax so your dd doesn't get overwhelmed.... likewise for the other parks. Have a great time!

On our last trip girls only we did the Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian my nieces loved it. I think it would be a great Mommy and Me thing to do.

I think your plan looks great. It's not too busy and you're allowing time to rest. Have a great trip!

I don't know how old your daughter is, but my only suggestion would be that you may want to have MK be the last park you visit. I see that you have a ressie at Crystal Palace at MK on your last MK day, but maybe you could switch that day and your EPCOT day. Then again, I love EPCOT and would have no problem with that being my last park.
