How does JC Scoring Work?

PPl have told me different things. That if you get it while there is still smoke around it it's Flawless. But I do that with some animals and I do not get flawless...

You should not get flawless in fact ...

The longer you wait for shooting before the animal disappears the better score you get ...

waiting the maximum time before shooting and before the animal disappears gives you higher score than shooting directly when the animal appears.

I hope I make myself clear.

thanks but i get more points for flawless than ok. And the closest i can get is 27,000 and i need 30

The scores that come up when you take a picture are deceiving. That's why everyone says it's better to get "ok" rather than "flawless". The points that you receive (as opposed to what pops up) for "ok" are actually higher than "flawless". Like the tips say, make sure you stick around until all the animals have popped up. I just played it, clicking on every animal right when they popped up, and got over 40,000. These tips should help you because when I first tried getting "ok" rather than "flawless", I was able to increase my score greatly. Good luck!

Who figured out that you get more points from ok than flawless? Clearly what shows when you click is that you get higher points for flawless, and you get higher points if you click right away. I regularly get 45,000 to 50,000 points, going for the flawless. Do you get more animals if you are getting "ok"? Does the score that pops up differ from what you actually get? I've heard this over and over and it just isn't my experience, but maybe I'm relying too much on the apparent score when I click....

Oh, and speeding is great when you don't have animals to shoot, including the dock stages and the very end of each stage in the first round. You spend less gas racing to the end than you do floating down slowly.

I played once without a mouse and noticed I was getting much higher scores. If it doesn't work for you, continue to play your own way. It works for me.

OK Doc. :) How do you play JC with out the mouse? :confused3

As others have said, the "scores" that you see pop up around the animals as you "shoot" them are not the real score you will get on the scoreboard. You actually get more points for waiting until the last minute and getting an "OK". Try it! On your first picture, try to wait a bit and then take a picture. Note the score that pops up next to the animal, and note the score that shows up on the scoreboard. They are not the same!

LOL! I said I played "once" without a mouse. I had my hands crossed because I needed the right to aim and the left to steer the boat. It took me forever to get to the animal, and then I noticed when I finished the first screen, I had a much higher score than when I was rushing to get flawless shots. I posted a message here about it and people ignored me! Even now (as this board proves) people continue to argue that flawless is better than ok. BTW, the world is round!

You mean that if I sail away into the sunset that I won't eventually fall off the Earth? I don't believe it!
