How does hotel switch work?

OK...I need some guidance here. We are going to stay at Pop for the first 2 nights followed by 7 nights at AKL. The day of our rehearsal we will switch resorts. I want to make sure that we are settled in our room, so all of the ladies can get dressed with me at AKL on the wedding day.

Anyways, on the day of the rehearsal, I am having brunch and spa treatments at the GF with the girls. I won't be back until 6pm when I need to quickly change for the rehearsal dinner at 7:30pm. Can I go to AKL early in the morning around 9am to take care of the paperwork? That way, my bags will already be in the room when I get back at 6. I just fear arriving in the evening and not having my stuff ready to go. I have never had a split stay before, so I would appreciate any pearls of wisdom you may have to offer. Thanks!

I would also like to know how it works as we will be staying for 19 or 20 days and want to stay in GF or Poly for 3 nights (before and after wedding) but was wondering the same thing

You can go to AKL as early in the morning as you want to take care of the paperwork. If there is a room available, they will give it to you at that time. If not, they will hold your luggage for you while you go to the spa. I believe you can then call back during the day to find out when your room is available and what room # you are in. However, I don't think they will automatically take your luggage to your room. I believe you have to be in your room and call down to bell services to have them deliver your luggage.

Also, if your DH is not checking in with you (if he's not checking in until the day of the wedding), he will probably need to go down to the desk at some time on your wedding day and show his ID so that he gets a room key card.

Thanks, Mommy Poppins! Raul will be staying with me the night before the wedding, so he can get his key when we return from the rehearsal dinner. One less thing to worry about =)

You're welcome! When we move from Hard Rock Hotel to the Beach Club, I expect that we will be checking in at like 6:30am so that we can get our cards since we will have our park tickets on them!
