How does grocery delivery work coming from Canada?

Have never had groceries delivered before. How does it work? Which places are best to order from?

I've used uber and instacart. It works the same just make sure you change the address to your resort address. Then meet them at the lobby

I’ve used vacation grocery delivery who charges a flat fee and I’ve used instacart and it worked out to be about the same . Both were easy to use .

We used instacart and had our groceries delivered to pop an hour or two before we arrived. They held them at bell services and once we arrived they brought them to our room. We checked in via the app and then stopped by bell services once we arrived at the resort

So it's best to order once you're at the airport?

A few days before we left, we scheduled a delivery for 2 hours before our anticipated arrival time.

I used garden grocer a few times before the pandemic. Most recent visit we hired a car service from the airport (I miss mickey’s magical express ) and they include a stop at a grocery store on the way to your destination.

We ordered from Walmart last year, delivered to Pop. Made the order from Minneapolis airport between flights.

To pay, had to use PayPal as it kept insisting on a US billing address.

We've used Dizzy Dolphin - they were great. This time we're using Vacation Grocery Delivery. I've heard good things about Water Butler as another service.

Curious to know how you were able to set up a Walmart account? I've tried and they send a text to confirm the account but they will not text a Canadian phone number. I even tried getting a US number through text/talk apps and that also does not work.

I can't remember how I set it up a couple of years ago, but I just tried to set up another account using dh's email and phone and he got the text message with the code.

So maybe it's an issue with your phone? Or carrier? Is it going to spam automatically maybe?

I could not get Walmart to work. I have used Amazon Fresh a few times with no issue.

Sorry, I don’t recall having to do that last year.

Last year Walmart worked for our October trip. They changed something between then and when we went down in March and we no longer were able to receive text verification messages with a Canadian phone number. I spoke to Walmart support and they couldn’t figure out why Canadian based phone numbers weren’t receiving text messages. After spending too much time I gave up and used instacart.
