How does front of the line work when staying at HRH?

Does anyone know if you have to be staying at the HRH the day you visit Universal or IOA or can you stay one night and still have access to front of the line the day you check out. Would like to just stay 2 nights and go 3 days to Universal/IOA.

The front of the line access is valid for the entire time that is listed on the card. Normally they will put the check in and check out dates on the card.

You can use the key the minute the parks open on your day of check in. If your room isn't ready, they give you a key to use at the parks. You can also keep your key to use for express access all day the day you check out.
