I understand that dinner is included every night while on the cruise? I imagine you have to pay out of pocket for anything you eat while on land. But what else is included for food? Lunch on the ship? Non-alcoholic drinks? Any help would be greatly appreciated as the Disney site doesn't seem to be answering my questions.

All food on board the ship is included in the price of the cruise. Alcoholic beverages and candy at the shop will be charged to your seapass account. Breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks at the poolbar are included. Hope this helps! Oh I almost forgot about sodas. When we last sailed on Disney back in 2004 sodas at meals were included.

You must be new to cruising! Yes, all meals are included. As is the ice cream, pizza bar by the pool, and even room service (tip the person who brings it though). Want a cheese platter? Call up and they'll bring it to you. No extra charge! They also have a soda fountain by the pool for all you can drink. I bring a huge mug so I'm never wanting! Alcohol and store bought snacks are not included, though. Everything else is, and it's all you can eat. Get two or three appetizers if you want!

Wow. So if you never left the boat, all your food would be paid for?

What about Palo's or whatever the fancy restaurant is?

Palo's has a $10 special charge, but that's all. Trust me, you paid for the food in the price. But it feels like it's "free" when you're ordering, so enjoy!

There are a few exceptions - boxes of candy or popcorn outside the theatre. Pop at bars or via room service. Fruit smoothies. But we've never paid out of pocket for anything other than a smoothie or two for the kids and alcoholic drinks - and the $10 for Palo (worth it).

Food on Castaway Cay is also "free" - and there is a restaurant (or two) open on port days - a lot of people head back to the ship rather than paying for lunch.

the one thing you won't have to worry about is FOOD...it everywhere...included in the price...watch out for the alcoholic drinks...they'll zap you for them...big time...they usually offer a drink of the day at a reasonable price...palos is an xtra $10 pp and well worth it...you better watch your food consumption or else you'll be looking for those expandable buffet pants by the end of the cruise...

While room-service is free, it's customary to give a tip to the person that delivers it.

So soda is Free in the dinning room? or do we have to bring it with us from deck nine?

yes soda is free in the dining room. You do not need to bring it from Deck 9.

yes all food on the ship is included...
palo's is $10 extra, and you gotta book early even online...
booze is extra.

castaway cay food included??????
Yes it is included and let me just say, you have to have the ribs! I am not a big rib eater but when my husband got them for himself, I had to try them and they were oh so good!!! Had to send him back for me some, lol.:rotfl: I'm still craving them!

Yes, all food is free on-board, apart from things sold at Preludes and the other stores. Along with Palos and on-shore eateries (exculuding Castaway Cay). If you do need to pay for anything on the ship, you can either pay cash, or have it charged to your room card. It is much easier to pay with room card, as you don't have to worry about losing any cash. (Plus, you can buy loads and you're family members won't know how much you've spent ;))

Smoothies are also sold on deck, for a nice price of $3 per drink, and again you can use room card. Don't forget to try a chocolate smoothie. ;)

BTW, the food is good and plentiful, but it isn't uniformly wonderful. Burgers and Pizza are pretty much what you'll find in the parks. Rotation restaurants are - in my opinion - uneven, with some very good dishes and a few that are disappointing - I think after seven days it starts to taste the same. Remember that its large scale preparation and set you expectations accordingly.

Palo is generally considered wonderful - a few people have been disappointed, but most haven't.

So if I understand what has been said - we have to pay extra for snacks to go into the theatre - if we want popcorn for a movie - we pay more? how much anyone know?

Are there any other options aside soda for kids to drink?

Thanks

Cat

Not sure on the prices, but yes that is correct.
I think there is apple juice / orange juice in the Beach Blanket (Topsiders) or at the beverage station.
Don't worry, I'm sure even if you ask a Cast Member for some juice by the pool, they will get you some.:wizard:
