How does Fantasmic Dinner Package work these days?

Hi everyone!

I haven't used this package is a long time - back them we got in a separate entrance near the front of the park. Then I think I read that changed and everyone went in the same line but the package still gave you the reserved section. So how is it currently working?

Thanks so much!

we were just there last week (Sunday of Labor Day weekend) and frankly, we were seriously disappointed with the latest change. This was the 4th time this year we've used the Fantasmic package, and we much prefer the previous entrance. Previously this year, they had you turning up the short street near the Beauty & The Beast theater...entering a side gate there, short walk up a hill and entering near the actual seats.

This time, we had to walk way past the regular FAntasmic entrance (continuing up the path to past the entrance to Tower of Terror) Then you walk in the gate there and end up entering the place in a line next to the regular line, nowhere near the reserved seating area. Then you more or less cross the regular line, going sort of behind the scenes at the top of the amphitheater...but then you have to walk to the far right-hand side just like before. So now you walk about twice as far to get the same seats as before.

And, worst of all, they actually added FAntasmic to every night the week we were there, so we didn't even really need the reserved seats...there was still general seating 20 minutes before show time that night. If I had known they were going to go back to having F every night, I would not have bothered with the reserved seats.

Thanks! Do they tell you where to go as it seems to change? Seems strange, we used to go around the back on the right side near the stroller rental.

So I guess we don't need to be there really early!?

Agree with previous poster. We were there late August. Got to our reserved seats 1/2 hour early and watched people come in up to 8:50 for 9pm unreserved and pretty much get as good seats as we had. We still had a great meal at Mama Melrose but would not have spent nearly as much without the package. When we booked it, it was one show every other night and by the time we went it was two shows every night so I am sure this had something to do with it. Probably would not do it again, it did not really give us any advantage.:confused3
