How does early June at DLR compare to mid-Sept at WDW?

We just took our first ever trip to WDW from Sept. 12-18. Crowds were nice ... was very manageable.
Waits were maybe 10 minutes for some headliners (Toy Story was the only must FP) but for the most part is was just walking through the queue and maybe then waiting for a just a cycle or two of loading ... we got parade spots about 15 minutes before they started and my son was in front of me (kind of single file) in the front row.

We are set for a trip to DLR June 9-13.

How will the crowds that time of year at DLR compare to what we experienced at WDW?

We tired to book a time when local So Cal schools would still be going on.
Any insight as to when the school year ends in 2012?
Will that make a difference?

thanking in advance.

Definitely more crowded, many schools are out by then for the summer. I was just in WDW too (9/3-17)!!

Likely to be mor crowded. But it depends. Especially in 2012. In the construction work at DCA is finished it will be extremely crowded. If not, crowds will be light.

When choosing dates be careful applying your WDW experience. DLR works differently. Here is some info to help you figure out what time works best for you.

It can be very crowded then. Lots of high school senior groups moving around the parks too.

I actually avoid going in June because of all the end of year school groups visiting, grad nights, and some Socal APs not blocked yet. 3 of your days are open to one of the Socal APs. But at least some of them are blocked. The weather can be tricky, usually cool mornings and evenings. Also, in the past it seems like they are not in full summer mode until 1/2 way in to June but I don't know how it will be this summer with all the changes. Our favorite month to go is July.

FWIW, grad nights are changing in 2012 and will be less of a factor in the future.

I wondered about that and what other changes they might make because of all the DCA work finishing up. I still like July. ;)
