So I was thinking who’s money is used to pay for perks such as moonlight magic? Is it from out maintenance fees? I am asking bc if a person bought resale is banned from perks but their maintenance fees where used for such events I wonder if their could be some legal argument they could have. After I heard Pete say these events were well over 1 million dollars I would be surprised if Disney was actually eating it.

If you bought resale you are not banned, you are not eligible for the the perks. Banned would be that you are eligible, but did something very bad and they took away your eligibility. There are reason why buying direct costs a lot more than resale. Lots of money to be made and then they spend a little to make you feel like your getting something for free. It’s not free you paid for it.

right but they were asking because if dues are going to pay for these events then everyone should be eligible since we all pay the same amount for dues. Since the funds come from marketing it's a moot point.

DVD pays for them, not DVC. Nothing is free at Disney even within Disney DVD has to pay Disney parks division for the events.

You're better off(cost perspective at least) buying resale and just paying for an After Hours hard ticket event.
