How does Dr. Doom Fear Fall compare to TOT?

Dr. Doom shoots you up where Tower on Terror drops you down.

I've never met a thrill ride that I won't try.... and I still get the butterflies EVERY TIME that I'm sitting there strapped into Dr. Doom waiting to be shot upwards!!!!:love::love::yay::yay::yay:

Ah ok, so Dr. Doom is more intense than TOT? What about height, are they both about the same heights?

Dr. Doom has you sitting there waiting and waiting before it shoots you up very fast. I am in near panic mode waiting! I didn't tell my husband what the ride did and was rewarded with a big "whoa" when we shot up! Great ride and a great view too.

TOT has excellent theming. Love that ride as well. Instead of shooting up you are being dropped.

Our Dr. Doom catch phrase is "Holy balls!" Gotta say it every time. Hope that doesn't get censored, LOL!!!!

The initial launch on Dr Doom is fairly intense, but after that it's pretty mild.

ToT is just intense enough to be fun, but mild enough that most people can ride it.

We rode ToT many times before riding Dr. Doom, and the first time on Doom took our breath away when it shot us up! I think we were expecting it to be like ToT and it's not! We didn't like the feeling we got from Dr. Doom at all and won't ride it again, but we love ToT.

I love both rides and the experience is very different. That said Doom definately seems more intense but that's the fun part.

If you listen to the recorded message when in your seat on Doom, you will know when you will go up

I feel like this has been hit or miss for me! Sometimes we still sit there for quite some time after the message is done...?

I don't like either but DOOM was a one and done for me. Never again. TOT I could and have tolerated riding again.

Okay, so it's like the "up" side of Power Tower at Cedar Point. The anticipation is way worse than the actual rise. By which I mean, it's scary while you're waiting but once you start going up it's over in seconds, and then it sort of bounces you down, which isn't scary at all.

The shot up-I really didn't think we were going to stop. Once we made it to the top, I opened my eyes briefly to make sure my kids were still next to me- thanked god and then counted the seconds until I returned to the ground. For the record, I have ridden all the coasters at Universal/IOA but Doom is not for me

My daughter thought ToT was worse than Doctor Doom. I've ridden Tot a few times and enjoy it mostly for the themeing, but I can handle the ups/downs. I didn't want to do DD. She said I could have handled DD just fine. But this is the perspective of a 10 year old.
