Does each adult have thier own card with meals or will they all be placed on one card? We will not always be together as a group. Also, some of the children, (over 20 years young) will be in different rooms or hotels. If they do not have they dining plan can they still dine with us and use our plan if we have any meals left?
Also, last year some of us shared meals, can we still do this?

All meals are pooled on main "key to the world cards" You can use them all in one day if you want. They do not keep track of them, the cards electronically keep track of what you've used and what is left. It's great!!

Think of it as each room gets x number of TS, CS and Snacks. Not each person. If there are 2 adults staying for 7 nights, then the room gets 14 credits of each. If there are 2 adults and 2 children between the ages of 3 & 9 for 5 nights, then the room gets 20 credits of each. You can use them as often as you'd like. After each purchase the receipt you get back tells you how many credits your room has for that specific type of credit.

If you want to give your card that has meals left to someone that doesn't you can do that. They don't ask for photo ID when you pay with your "Key to the World" card. Just remember that card is also your room key.

I have been told that you can can use your credits to pay for your dinner guests. Some have said you can not do this that they will only credit your card for the amount of registered dining plan guests on your card for each meal. We will see, I have an old letter from Guest relations that says you can share with guests (provided by a very nice member of this site) and I currently have an e-mail into them posing that same question. We also plan on sharing our credits with 4 adult children who are staying with their HS Band and not on the plan.

We paid for several of my mom's meals using our dining credits and never had a problem. Each room key will have the dining plan credits attached to it so anyone can use the credits. All credits are pooled into one account and there is no segmentation of credits.

Enjoy your trip and the dining plan! We  the dining plan!

It does not specify whether the CS or sit down meals are childrens or adults? :sunny:

We paid for my brother's meal with one of our credits, no problem. It doesn't matter you can use them when and on who you want.

There is no such thing as adult and child credits. There is just a total number of TS, CS and snack credits, which are segmented by type.

Thanks everyone for the info. I understand how it works now. I may check back beforeare trip to see if anything has changed.

When is your trip? If prior to 02/15/06 please let me know if you run into any problems using your credits to pay for a guest. Information I really need to know for my trip and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
