How does Disney calculate how many credits for DDP?

I'm just wondering how may credits we will get.

Our reservation is for 8days/7nights (wording from our ressie) but we only have 6 day park hoppers because of the times of our flights.

So....do we have 6 days of meals? 7 days of meals? I'm assuming not 8 days of meals?

Just wondering if they calculate on number of nights you stay or the number of days of your park passes.

It's per night of your stay so you will have 7 credits per person for each category if you have the regular DDP.

Your credits are good until midnight of your checkout day so you may have 7 credits but you will have 8 days in which to use them if you count check-in day and check-out day.

yes, credits are always allocated based on how many nights you stay, not how many days. Length of park tickets is entirely irrelevant. If you are staying 7 nights and 8 days the credits you receive will be calclulated based on 7 nights. And you don't get "days of meals" you get a lump sum of dining credits that you can choose to trade in for meals at any time, on any day, up until they expire.

Thanks for the replies. I have done this before, you'd think I would remember but nope - those little tidbits of info exited the brain it would appear!

I guess the two of us have an extra day of eating to squeeze in there! lol!
