How does Disability Pass work wCOVID/Fastpass rules?

Previously in 2019 when we went last, we had to go to guest services at any Park to activate/retrieve the DAS pass. Can it be done elsewhere now before theme park access? What is the process or questions team members need addressed now?

Also are there new usage rules after the lightning fast pass changes?

For now, the procedure is the same, go to guest services at any Park to activate DAS.
Once Genie+ launches, guests can choose to register for DAS in a live video registration 2 - 30 days before their visit OR register at Guest Relations at a Theme Park (the previous only way to register)

Thanks to @cellomom - just what I was going to post. It has not been announced when GENIE+ or the DAS process will be changing. From what Disney has posted, HOW DAS works at attractions will not be changing - guests will still receive a DAS Return Time based on the current wait time, only one active DAS Return Time at a time, and the DAS holder must go on the attraction.
What is changing is that guests will be able to preregister for DAS ahead of their visit and DAS Return Times will be able to be booked in a section of My Disney Experience app in addition to the previous ways.

My family was at WDW in June 2021, using DAS for our daughter. The renewal process and how DAS worked was the same as pre-COVID.
