I was there opening day for WWoHP and perhaps this is why I cannot recall! :) I did child swap and remember being in a small room with DH and DD rode but I can't recall the process. Did they give me a ticket to ride then or how did all this occur??? Thank you!

When we did the child swap 2 years ago ( i think), you walked through the line as a family, and when you got to a spot towards the end, one grownup and the kids went to wait in the room that was playing a harry potter movie. I think at that point the adult that was riding was put on the single rider line. After you finished the ride, the adult who waited swapped places with the adult who rode and got right on the single rider line.

I remember thinking how smooth and fast it was unlike the one time we did child swap at WDW for soaring.

We were there in December and we all went through the line as a family. Almost at the end of the line (when you can see the sorting hat), you tell them that you want to do the swap. They walked us all into the room that's playing HP on TV and whoever wants to stay in the room stays and whoever wants to ride rides. He then walked us to the side of the room and told the other worker that it's two of us riding and we hopped on. When we got back, we were allowed to switch and just went to the side of the room ourselves and told them how many.

we did this in july it was 5 of us and only 1 was not big enough to ride. we went through the line together and almost at the end we were then placed in a room that was showing the harry potter movies. 3 went on first i stayed with the smallest child and then when they got done i was able to go on and the workers said the kids would be able to ride again too if they wanted, so they got to ride twice and the 2 adults each got to ride once. I am not sure if this is how it always works but i thought it was nice that they let the kids that were big enough ride with both adults.

We just did this in Jan.We all walked thru the line till we got to right before the loading area.Told the TM we needed to do a child swap.Me and my daughter waited in the room and watched Harry Potter and DH rode, when he came back he came in the room and I rode

Are you allowed to do the child swap with an older child who fears the ride?

We will have five kids. One of the youngest (but still a 10 year old) is scared of roller coasters. Can we do this swap so she doesn't have to ride?

I am hopeful we can talk her into it. I think, when all the other kids are riding, she might do it, but we will have to see.
